Collectables and Memorabilia

About Athenaeum Treasury

I began selling books and collectables just before the pandemic to help pay for vet fees acquired.

During the lockdown I began selling off my commodore 64 collection of games. The pandemic changed my life in many ways. It was fun to do. Selling worldwide.

I love books ever since my father would read to me before bedtime as a child. He created an array of audio tapes of fairy tales. Which he would switch on as I drifted between consciousness and the dreamscape. He could then enjoy a brew. Loved audiobooks ever since.

As I grew older, Dad would bring home the writings of H. G. Wells and John Wyndham for my amusement. My Aunt would give me books on World War 2 especially the Battle of Britain which she lived through. Taking me to Hendon RAF Museum as a child. Giving me a love of vintage aircraft.

Visiting airshows. Watching the documentary series ‘In Search of the Dark Ages’ with Michael Wood gave me a love of medieval history. I was lucky to meet him decades later. They say never meet your heroes, I wasn’t disappointed. In my late teens I enjoyed visiting the ‘The Vintage Magazine’ shop in Brewer Street Soho for all things Marilyn and discovering the silent film era and Louise Brooks adding to my interest in Film Noir and the Femme Fatal. It was an Aladdin’s cave of film memorabilia.

I like to find rare and niche books and find them a new home. Saving them from landfill sites and the impending fire.

I love film noir and cult films. I like to find these and find them a new home.

Commodore 64 games I save from destruction and test and find them a new home.
